The Create block command is also available in the context menu.

The Block definition dialog box opened by the Create block command allows you to specify parameters for creating a new block or redefining the description of already existing block:

Options:

Section		Parameter	Description
-		Name:	Names the block being created. To redefine the existing block, select the name from the drop-down list.
Base point		-	The base point selection modes are mutually exclusive.
Base point		Specify On-Screen	Enables/Disables the base point selection mode using the cursor on the screen after closing the dialog box.
Base point		Pick point	A button to temporarily close the dialog box for specifying the base point on the screen using the mouse cursor.
Base point		X: Y: Z:	Input fields for the block insertion point coordinates.
Base point		Place at the center	Enables/Disables the base point selection mode at the center of the block. When this option is enabled, the block's base point will be set to the center of the bound—an imaginary rectangle that defines the dimensions of the selected objects.
Objects		Specify On-screen	Enables/Disables object selection mode after closing the dialog box.
Objects		Select objects	The button to temporarily close the dialog box for selecting objects on the screen with the mouse cursor.
Objects		Retain	Enables the mode of leaving selected objects in the drawing after creating a block.
Objects		Convert to block	Enables the mode of creating a block reference in place of selected objects after creating a block.
Objects		Delete	Enables the mode of deleting selected objects from the drawing after creating a block.
Objects		Selected objects:	Displays information about the number of objects selected for creating a block.
Settings		Scale uniformity	Enables/Disables the mode for setting the same block scale along the X, Y, and Z axes.
Settings		Allow exploding	Enables/Disables the mode for splitting a block after inserting it using the Explode command.
Settings		Block units:	Drop-down list for selecting the measurement units for the created block.
Settings		Description:	Text description input field (hidden attribute) for easy identification and searching of the block later.
	Note
	Objects included in the block being created can be selected in advance, before opening the Create block command.
