nanoCAD 3DScan Help

Introduction

Introduction

The 3DScan application offers a set of tools that allow you to:

·          stitch/register point clouds by markers and in semi-automatic mode with the ability to control the quality of stitching;

·          visualize point clouds using many different methods, including photorealistic display and support for viewports;

·          construct sections, cross-sections, highlight areas of interest, work with dynamic sections;

·          perform classification and segmentation, including automatically identify the ground;

·          construct polygonal models of DEM/DTM and three-dimensional objects;

·          simplify and edit polygonal models, including taking into account coloring and applied textures;

·          perform fitting of elementary geometric shapes: planes, cylinders, spheres, lines;

·          perform a global search for elementary geometric shapes: planes, cylinders, cones, tori, spheres, taking into account their connections and relative positions;

·          search for pipeline systems as a whole;

·          perform automatic vectorization of sections, including create floor plans;

·          measure lengths, areas, and volumes directly from the point cloud without prior shape recognition and model building;

·          compare point clouds with each other and with models;

·          texture vector models with rasters and point cloud data.
