Point Cloud Vertical Section
Ribbon: Point Clouds – Clip and Section – Section > Vertical Section
Menu: Point Clouds – Section > Cut
Toolbar: Clip and Section 3DScan > Vertical Section
Command line: NPC_SECT_CUT
The vertical section can be made in any form, including the form that is the result of an already completed section. The cutting plane will be perpendicular to the plane of the current view.
The vertical section is specified by two points. If the model space is divided into several viewports, then it will be necessary to specify in which viewport the result of the section will be displayed.
The first point determines the vertical plane with which the cloud will be cut. The second point determines the depth of the section and the direction of view in the resulting view.
To create a vertical section:
1. Go to the viewport with the result of a section or any other view. The cutting plane will be perpendicular to the plane of the current view.
2. Run the Vertical section command.
3. Indicate the point defining the vertical plane with which the cloud will be cut.
4. Specify the second point that determines the depth of the vertical section. The point also defines the viewer's position in the resulting view relative to the newly defined vertical section plane (right or left).
5. If there are multiple viewports in the model space, select the target viewport to display the section.
