Nanosoft, nanoCAD software vendor, is supporting #StayAtHome campaign.

Today, due to circumstances, many companies are moving to remote work. Health and safety of people are the priorities of Nanosoft, so we want to support everyone who continues to conduct business in this difficult time.

Are you forced to work not at the office, but from home? All nanoCAD products have this feature.

The first thing you need is the availability of network licenses for your company. If your laptop has a local license, just take the laptop with you, but this is not common in the corporate sector.

In the case of a network license, it does not matter which computer nanoCAD is running on - it is important that this computer has access to the license server. That is, wherever you are, if you have such access, you can work with nanoCAD.

1. Ask your system administrator to provide access to office network resources via VPN. This is secure and allows you to connect to the license server as if you were in your office.
   VPN connection details can be found at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/20510/windows-10-connect-to-vpn.
   Start Registration Wizard on home computer with VPN access to company network and select “Connect to License Server” radio button. On the next window enter License Server IP address. Then start nanoCAD.

2. Ask your system administrator to set the static IP address for the license server that is visible on the Internet, and connect to the license server by that IP.

3. Another option, is to use a temporary detachment of the network license from the license server and transfer it to the user's computer. There are a number of limitations. Consult technical support specialists: support@nanocad.com .

4. And finally, the most versatile way that works on any device with any version and product of Nanosoft. This is an access to the desktop of the computer via RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol). It will require a computer located in the office with the installed Nanosoft programs and with configured external access via RDP. Ask your system administrator to do this setup or find out how to do it yourself (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17463/windows-7-connect-to-another-computer-remote-desktop-... ) . On your home computer you need to run the RDP client and connect to the working computer. What is important, a home computer can run on MacOS, Linux, and even Android, but the speed of reaction to your actions is determined by the speed of your Internet connection, so do not expect miracles.
